A visit to a page. Opening the route planner. Saving a journey, so I know whether the planner is actually used and not just looked at. Opening or downloading a depth chart. Downloading PegelTiefgang Inland ECDIS. Alongside that: the country the connection comes from, whether you are on a phone or a computer, and the name of the site that sent you here. From a search I keep only that you came via Google, never what you typed.
Your IP address is not stored anywhere. There is no account and no name. There is no advertising and no third party analytics. The visitor column is a hashed combination of the day, the address and the browser. It cannot be rebuilt tomorrow, so I cannot recognise you from one day to the next. That has a consequence for my own figures too: where I count visitors, that is honestly visitors per day, added up. Nothing is sold or shared.
Your language, your routes and your ship settings stay in your own browser so they are still there next time. That information goes nowhere. If you want rid of it, clear the site data in your browser. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out. For that your browser loads a script from Cloudflare.
The program fetches the current water levels from this site every five minutes. From that I count how many installations run per day, the same way as above. Downloads of the installer are counted through the download link.
The counts sit with Cloudflare, inside the EU. They are kept with no end date, because the value is in the long line: use rises in the weeks when the water is low, and that is the whole point. PegelTiefgang is responsible. Because nothing in it points to a person, there is nothing about you to look up or delete. You are welcome to ask anyway.
